Shape financial excellence in the semiconductor industry

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Analyst to join our Finance and Controlling team in Italy. In this role, you’ll gain comprehensive expertise in managing a full P&L while working alongside global leaders in the semiconductor sector. As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate with business partners across Singapore, the USA, and Asia, supporting Key Product Unit (KPU) heads with essential financial insights and contributing to ASM’s global success.

What you will be working on:

Support business partners

  • Collaborate with Key Product Unit (KPU) leaders to provide vital financial insights and assistance.

OPEX management

  • Oversee closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes, including:
    • Operating expenses
    • Capital projects
    • Headcount
    • Asset depreciation
    • R&D project costs/JOBs
    • Long-term liability (LLR) calculations

Gross margin management

  • Manage closing, forecasting, and budgeting within the KPU perimeter.
  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Industrial Controllers on:
    • Revenue analysis
    • Costing

Variance analysis

  • Conduct thorough variance analysis within operational and financial perimeters.

ERP system maintenance

  • Maintain and update ERP system data, including cost centers and JOBs.

R&D reporting

  • Prepare detailed reports for Italian Government and EU reporting requirements.

Ad-hoc requests

  • Address various requests from KPU stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of experience in finance and controlling, preferably in manufacturing companies.
  • Solid accounting knowledge, with familiarity in IFRS/ITA GAAP standards preferred.
  • Fluency in English, with strong communication and coordination skills.
  • High interest in IT/finance tools, standardization, and automation.
  • Positive and supportive mindset, with eagerness to learn and drive improvements.
