Your mission
As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will bridge the gap between technology and business by driving product strategies, engaging with customers and suppliers, and shaping product roadmaps. Your expertise will play a key role in guiding our innovative solutions from concept to commercialization, ensuring they meet market demands and align with ASM's vision for the semiconductor industry.
What you will be working on
Customer Engagement
- Support technical meetings with customers and manage customer presentations.
- Conduct detailed market and competitive analysis to align strategies with customer needs.
Supplier Engagement
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop key capabilities for new product introductions.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the product lifecycle from concept through high-volume manufacturing to obsolescence.
- Maintain and periodically update product roadmaps through collaboration with customers and internal experts.
Market Requirement Specifications (MRS)
- Own and maintain MRS documents to ensure alignment between product development priorities and customer needs.
Financial Analysis
- Work with the finance team on Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations for products.
- Develop and maintain cost-of-ownership models.
Business Planning and Market Analysis
- Create business forecasts, budgets, and operational review materials based on market information.
- Support strategic planning and conduct competitive analysis.
New Product Introductions (NPI)
- Conduct detailed market analyses for inflection points and develop business plans for NPI.
- Align internal executives and position products for market success.
Product Promotion
- Create promotional materials for product launches and conferences.
- Train sales and product support teams and introduce products to customers.
Technical Support
- Collaborate with product development teams on specifications and data collection requirements.
- Manage customer demo requests and prioritize product development activities.
Strategic Marketing
- Prepare go-to-market strategies for R&D expenditure requests.
- Develop roadmap and product strategy presentations for executive leadership.
What we are looking for
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent field.
- 8+ years of experience in technical marketing, process development, or product development in the semiconductor or capital equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of product life cycles, technical marketing, and capital equipment systems.
- Direct customer engagement or supplier management experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ALD, CVD, Epi, or vacuum systems is a plus.
- High proficiency or deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Strong global communication skills and willingness to travel internationally.
