R&D (Senior) Process Engineer - Plasma enhanced ALD (PEALD) systems プラズマ原子層堆積法 MX/NT Development

Location: Tama, Japan

The Role:
As a (Senior) Process Engineer at ASM, the work is challenging, but the rewards are exceptional. This isn’t got the faint at heart, but for those who are focused, self-motivated and have impeccable problem-solving skills.

As part of our PEALD Process Development team, you will be involved with developing new processes and applications in state-of-art integrated device flows. You get the chance to work in one of the most advanced scientific fields in the world under diverse innovative culture and still see your inventions in tomorrow’s products out in the market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands on work with ASM products in R&D Lab to research, develop new film, optimize processes for next generation semiconductor device.
  • Designs and conducts experiments, measurements, data science and performs the interpretation of complex experimental output.
  • Solve a variety of complex process problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, make action plan and resolve a variety of product issues
  • Work with other global ASM and customers R&D teams to understand and define requirements in order to successfully execute projects and demonstrations
  • Ensures successful product transfer to customer base by performing demonstrations, knowledge transfer, and traveling when needed to support other ASM or customer sites
  • Delivers creative solutions, creates inventions and develops intellectual property

 

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in science area and/or engineering area applicable for semiconductor industry.
  • Fresh MS or PhD graduates OR 2+ years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Experienced area example; thin film process development, data science, plasma processing, device R&D, CAE, AI.
  • Ability to independently manage process development projects. Collaborate with HW engineering, product support, analytical suppliers and corporate R&D (CRD) organization.
  • Understanding of the interplay between hardware design, software and process outputs.
  • Being able to quickly learn new skill sets
  • Communication skills in Japanese and English to work with diverse nationality engineers.
  • Enjoying a hands-on work, problem solving with flexible attitude
