We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst to join our newly formed Simulation Center of Excellence (SCoE). The successful candidate will play a critical role in evolving the center, tackling complex challenges within semiconductor process tools, including Thermal and Plasma Enhanced ALD, PECVD, Epitaxy (Epi), and Vertical Furnace (CVD). This individual will utilize advanced simulation techniques to enhance our understanding and optimization of these processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced simulations and analyses on semiconductor process tools, focusing on areas such as thermal behavior, chemical reactions, and plasma interactions, at macro and micro scales.

  • Develop and implement Multiphysics models encompassing CFD, thermal dynamics, plasma physics, electrostatics, and other related physics.

  • Perform compressible gas dynamics, vacuum analysis, and modeling to improve system performance and process control.

  • Conduct optical simulations for lens design and optical systems related to process monitoring and diagnostics.

  • Analyze thin film stress and strain, structural behavior of delicate devices.

  • Validate simulation results against experimental data.

  • Interpret simulation results and communicate findings effectively through detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design optimization and troubleshoot complex issues within process tools.

  • Document simulation methodologies, best practices, and lessons learned to build a centralized knowledge base.

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in simulation methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on simulation, semiconductor processes, or related domains.

  • 10+ year’s experience with industry-standard simulation tools such as Siemens StarCCM+, ANSYS, COMSOL, or equivalent platforms.

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), thermal and Multiphysics simulations, plasma and electrostatic analysis, chemical reaction modeling, optical system and lens design, compressible gas dynamics, vacuum analysis, thin film stress and strain analysis, structural analysis, and vibration analysis.

  • Strong ability to design and interpret complex simulation models and solve challenging problems with innovative approaches.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and MATLAB for custom analyses, automation, and post-processing of simulation data.

  • Experience troubleshooting and root cause analysis, especially in semiconductor or related high-tech industries.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A team player with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a thorough approach to work, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in simulation results.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on simulation, semiconductor processes, or related domains.

  • At least 10+ years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry or a similar high-tech environment.

  • Proven track record of contributions to complex simulation projects.

  • This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our advanced simulation initiatives, working alongside industry experts to drive innovation and continuous improvement in semiconductor process technologies.
