Shape the future of tax strategy in a global tech leader

As a Senior Tax Specialist at ASM, you’ll join a dynamic regional tax team at our global headquarters in Almere, Netherlands. In this multi-faceted role, you’ll work on a variety of tax-related projects, from corporate income tax and transfer pricing to sustainability-related tax initiatives. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll play a crucial role in optimizing ASM’s tax strategies while contributing to innovative process improvements and tax technology projects.

What you will be working on:

  • Act as a key point of contact for tax management across ASM’s European subsidiaries.
  • Manage transfer pricing projects, including operational transfer pricing and controversy matters.
  • Support tax sustainability initiatives, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
  • Handle indirect taxes, customs duties, and related legal matters.
  • Lead tax accounting and reporting, including compliance with Pillar II regulations.
  • Contribute to tax incentives, including innovation box projects.
  • Collaborate on process improvements and tax technology advancements to enhance team efficiency.

What we are looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big-4 environment or an in-house tax role.
  • Strong understanding of international and European taxation, including transfer pricing.
  • Familiarity with tax accounting and reporting principles.
  • Affinity for sustainability and its interplay with taxation.
  • Ability to stay updated on current and proposed legislation.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
