ASM has been recognized for its commitment to corporate social responsibility, receiving the Public Welfare Impact Award at Shanghai Daily’s 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards in December 2024. We were honored to receive this award, which highlights our ongoing dedication to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives as well as community outreach.

One standout example of ASM’s impact is our STEM education cultural exchange program in China, which brought various students and teachers from Mugong Primary School in Guizhou to Shanghai. This initiative is part of our multi-year commitment to the school, and offered the young participants a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology and experience life in Shanghai.

The program featured a variety of engaging activities, including an interactive electricity workshop led by ASM experts, visits to the nature museum and top university’s Meta-Innovation Lab, etc. These experiences aimed to spark curiosity and inspire the students to consider a future career in science and technology. We hope that one day, some of our young guests will make their own mark in tech.

Zhijun Fang, our Vice President of Sales and Country Manager in China, emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for children to explore and dream. The impact of this initiative was evident in the words of one participant: “Shanghai is such a beautiful city. I’ve seen so many new things here. One day, I hope to return to conduct my own scientific research!”

The recognition by Shanghai Daily underscores ASM’s position as a forward-thinking company and employer, by investing in the next generation of STEM talent, the global team at ASM continues to demonstrate our dedication to shaping a brighter, more innovative world for all.
