Mr. Erdemir assumed the role of Senior Vice President Global Operations at ASM in April 2025 and was appointed as an executive committee member concurrently.

Hakan joined ASM from Alcon, a global eye healthcare company.  He served as Vice President Global Supply Chain, leading strategic initiatives to enhance supply chain agility and customer experience. His efforts in supply-chain digitization and optimizing transportation and distribution centers delivered best-in-class service and operational efficiencies.

Previously, Hakan spent 24 years at Johnson & Johnson, progressing through roles in quality engineering, manufacturing, process excellence, new product management, and supply chain leadership, with broad international exposure across Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and North America.

Hakan holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Alfred University, USA, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in metallurgical and materials engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. He is a US and Turkish national.
